Terms of service.
By using Git Pitcher, you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain English because you deserve to understand what you're signing.

1. Acceptance
By creating an account, pasting a URL into Git Pitcher, or paying for a subscription, you accept these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the product.
2. Who can use Git Pitcher
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- If you're using Git Pitcher on behalf of a company, you must be authorised to bind that company.
3. The service
Git Pitcher generates opinionated repo reads, audits, build packs, and related artifacts from public GitHub repositories. On paid plans, we also support private repositories via the Git Pitcher GitHub App.
The outputs are machine-generated and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and validating anything you publish, share, or pitch to third parties based on a Git Pitcher output.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials (handled by Clerk) safe.
- One account per person. Account sharing is not permitted on Free or Pro. Team plans support multiple seats.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Paste URLs for content you don't have the right to analyse.
- Use Git Pitcher to produce content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or violates third-party rights.
- Reverse-engineer the service, attempt to extract our prompts, or use the outputs to train competing models.
- Bypass rate limits, pricing tiers or the authentication system.
- Use automated systems to scrape Git Pitcher beyond the documented public endpoints.
- Resell, sublicense or white-label Git Pitcher outputs without a separate written agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel from the Stripe customer portal.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- We offer a 14-day refund on first-time subscriptions if you're unhappy — just email us via the About page contact link. Renewals are not refundable.
- Taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are collected where required and shown at checkout.
7. Intellectual property
Ours
The Git Pitcher brand, the site, the code, the prompts and the pipeline belong to us. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing.
Yours
You own the outputs you generate. You can edit, share, publish or commercialise them freely. We retain no rights over the content of your pitches.
Third-party
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Git Pitcher complies with the license of each repository you analyse.
8. Availability & service changes
We aim for high availability but don't promise 100% uptime. We may modify, add or remove features as the product evolves. Material changes that reduce the value of a paid plan will be announced at least 14 days in advance, with a pro-rated refund option.
9. Disclaimers
Git Pitcher is provided “as is” and “as available”. The outputs are opinions generated by software and are not investment advice, legal advice, security advice, or a substitute for professional counsel. Do not make irreversible decisions solely based on a Git Pitcher document.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost business, or lost data.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your use of Git Pitcher in violation of these terms or of third-party rights.
12. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time.
- We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms. Where possible, we'll give notice first.
- On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Your data is handled according to the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the founder's jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
